Meet Dr. Melissa Jordan
Dr. Jordan has been practicing as a family dentist in Columbia County since 2011. She graduated with honors from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry and is a member of the Georgia Dental Association and American Dental Association.
She has received several awards during her career including the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Award in 2011, the American Association of Oral Medicine Award in 2011, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Award in 2011, and a Georgia Dental Association scholarship. She was also inducted into the Alpha Upsilon Phi Leadership honor society in 2011.
Dr. Jordan grew up in Columbia County, Georgia. She is married to Daniel Jordan and is “Mommy” to four precious children! Dr. Jordan enjoys traveling, eating good food, spending time with her family, and reading books. The Jordan family also enjoys cheering on the Georgia Southern Eagles. She and Daniel both graduated from Georgia Southern University where Daniel was the punter for the football team for four years.
Dr. Jordan is an active member of Redeemer Church in Evans, Georgia. She has been on two dental mission trips: to Trinidad in 2008 and to the Amazon in 2011
Meet Dr. Tayler Brinson
Dr. Brinson grew up on her family’s farm in Soperton, GA and graduated from Robert Toombs Christian Academy in Vidalia, GA in 2011.
She continued her studies at the University of Georgia and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2015 with a BS degree in Biological Science.
Despite being a Georgia girl and a loyal Bulldog fan, she went on to complete her dental education at the University of Florida, where she earned her DMD degree in 2019 and was honored with the UF Class of 2019 Award for Clinical Excellence and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Award.
Dr. Brinson completed a General Practice Residency at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, where she became trained in IV sedation, implant dentistry, and complex restorative work. She is a member of the ADA and GDA, and is a fellow in the International Congress of Implant Dentistry (ICOI).
In her free time Dr. Brinson enjoys exercise, travel, trying new restaurants, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with her furry poodle friends, Parti and Disco.
A bit of exciting news – we are thrilled to report that Dr. Brinson was engaged in April 2024! She has hit the road running and is happily planning her October 2025 wedding.

CLINICAL TEAM
SHANNON, DENTAL HYGIENIST
Shannon has been practicing dental hygiene for over 20 years. She received her training in her home state of Michigan and began her career in Atlanta before moving to Augusta. Prior to joining Jordan Family Dentistry, she had been with the same practice for two decades, so it’s no surprise that she prides herself on the long-term relationships she creates with her patients. She is passionate about how proper dental care can lead to better health and improved quality of life, so she stays current with the latest in dental care in order to provide her patients with the best care possible.
Shannon lives in Augusta with her husband, Scott, and their two children. Her interests include horses, family, friends, and gardening.
AMIE, DENTAL HYGIENIST
Amie has been practicing dental hygiene for over twenty years. She loves meeting new people and forming relationships with her patients. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from the Medical College of Georgia.
Amie has been married to her husband Baylan for 19 years and they have two sons. She is an active member of Trinity Baptist Church. She enjoys spending time with family and watching her boys play baseball and basketball.
SHARON, DENTAL HYGIENIST
Sharon is a hometown girl who says she had the “great fortune” of acquiring her dental hygiene degree at The Medical College of Georgia in 2000. She loves working as a hygienist and has met so many wonderful people throughout her career.
She and her husband of 21 years, Nathan, graduated from high school together and settled down in North Augusta after spending a few years living in Florida and Atlanta. She loves to travel and do things together as a family with their son, Nolan, and their “extra-hairy four-legged boy”, Pinto.
KRISTY, DENTAL HYGIENIST
Kristy has been practicing dental hygiene for more than 16 years, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the Medical College of Georgia in 2003. She loves her career and especially enjoys helping her patients appreciate the importance of a healthy smile.
Kristy is married to her high school sweetheart, Jeffrey, and they have two children, Lilly and Carter. They are active members of Warren Baptist Church, where Kristy particularly enjoys being involved with the children’s ministry. Outside of work, Kristy loves enjoying time with family, especially on trips to the lake, beach, and mountains.
BRITTNI, DENTAL HYGIENIST
Brittni graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 2008 and has been practicing for 17 years. She loves the opportunity for individualistic patient care that hygiene brings and especially enjoys helping her patients improve their oral and overall health. She strives to bring a gentle touch to her craft, believing that a visit to the dentist can be a fun and enjoyable experience.
She has been happily married for almost 20 years and has 3 beautiful children. When not in the office, you can find her homeschooling her kiddos, remodeling something in her home, or serving at her church, The Father’s House of Augusta.
ALLISON, DENTAL HYGIENIST
I’ve been a hygienist for 16 years. I received my dental hygiene degree from Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC. I love building relationships with my patients and their families and creating an environment where they feel valued, supported, and comfortable.
I am married to my husband Daniel and we have two children, Cooper and Caroline. We also have a dachshund named Cricket who was our first baby. We enjoy beach trips, pool days, and spending time together even if it’s at home.
DONELLA, DENTAL ASSISTANT
Donella has been an active part of the dental field since 1999, when she began her career as a dental assistant. She is passionate about dentistry and loves getting to know her patients. Seeing a smile on her patients’ faces when they leave her chair brings joy to her soul and is her favorite part of working in dentistry.
Outside of work she enjoys outdoor activities such as camping and fishing with her husband, Preston. They have three adult children who are all embarking on their own careers. She is happiest when they are all together in one room making memories.
ANGIE, DENTAL ASSISTANT
Angie has been a Certified Dental Assistant for over 23 years, and she loves meeting new people and working with them to maintain their healthy smiles. She also has an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Ultrasound Technology.
Angie is married and has three busy children. They love spending time at the beach and in the mountains and taking care of all their animals. Ask her about her ducks!
TAYLER, DENTAL ASSISTANT
Tayler is a new graduate of the dental assisting program at Augusta Technical College.
She is excited to have joined the Jordan Family Dentistry family and loves to see the effect dentistry has on her patients when they get quality treatment.
She enjoys reading and spending time with her family and looks
forward to sibling movie nights on the weekends.
CHYNAREA, DENTAL ASSITANT
Chynarea “Chyna” is a recent graduate of the dental assisting program at Augusta Technical College. She is ecstatic to begin her dental assisting journey with such an amazing team!
She is passionate about helping patients feel confident in their smiles and is committed to creating a positive, comfortable experience for every individual. Chynarea believes in treating everyone with kindness, compassion, and a whole lot of grace.
When she’s not in scrubs, you can find her serving at her local church, New Life Gateway Campus, or being the world’s happiest “auntie” to her sweet four-legged nephew – Cookie. She loves bike riding, journaling, and spending time with Jesus, family, and friends.

PENNY, FINANCIAL COORDINATOR
Penny has been working in the dental field for over 30 years. She is a 1987 graduate of Augusta Technical College’s Dental Assisting Program.
Penny lives in Evans with her daughter and son, and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is a member of Stevens Creek Church.
DIANE, PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR
Diane is very happy to be part of the Jordan Family Dentistry team. She is one of the first faces you will see when visiting our office. She is a lifelong resident of this area and is mom to two incredible young men and their families.
She is a longtime member of Warren Baptist Church. She enjoys meeting new people and hearing their stories. She also loves to travel, especially cruising.
LINDSAY, FRONT DESK
Lindsay joined Magnolia Family Dentistry in 2024. She previously worked in pediatric dentistry prior to joining our team. Lindsay is one of our front desk coordinators and feels extremely grateful to work alongside such an amazing group of people!
Lindsay is married to her husband, Chris, and they have three children together. She is an active member of Grace Baptist Church where she is involved with the children’s ministry. Her favorite things include spending time with her family, traveling, trying new recipes, sitting down with a good book, iced coffees, and Jesus.
